The Uncommon (Travel Area)
A performance/installation recreating the hard border on the island of Ireland as it is experienced by migrants: every time a public bus crosses between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, an immigration stamp goes on the gallery wall.
Commissioned for the Ballads of Rhinestones & Newcomers exhibition at the CCA in Derry, 20 Jul 22—24 Sep 2022.
A space for young migrants to think about their experiences in/relation to St Leonards, using live writing, speculative fiction, sound walks, zines, photography and other forms of making and writing.
Part of GOOD STUFF, a programme of creative activities and events led by St Leonards residents and facilitated by Home Live Art.
Pilot project exploring migrant-led mentorship for the cultural sector. This is a programme about navigating the existing system and building a new one: it’s about embedding support systems for migrant artists into existing institutions and researching how migrant knowledge and methodologies can instigate new forms of institutional support.
